Description

Located in Roccabascerana, with plots in Candida, Prata, and Montefusco, where the terroir and the climate allow the perfect growing conditions for the indigenous grape varieties of Aglianico, Falanghina , Greco di Tufo & Fiano di Avellino. Agricola Bellaria have been producing wines of exceptional quality for several decades.

The Aglianico grapes, however, reach perfect growth and maturation, between Paternopoli and Montemiletto, in the highest part of the region which looks towards Montefusco, at around 600m above sea level in the heart of Irpinia.

Harvest takes place in November, where the grapes are picked manually. The grapes are destemmed and light pressed, followed by inoculation of selected yeasts. Maceration at a temperature between 25-30°C in stainless steel tanks. Racking & soft pressing of the must, followed by ageing in barriques for a period of 12 months, with a further 6 months in the bottle.

Grape Variety: Aglianico

Tasting Notes: Intense ruby red in colour with notes of red cherry & strawberry with good structure and full body.

Alcohol: 13.5%

Serving Temperature: 18C

Ideal With: Hard & mature chesses, roast red meats, pasta dishes with a meat ragu’.
