Garofalo Gluten-Free Pasta – a culinary triumph for Italian food-lovers. If your question is – Can gluten free pasta be as tasty as wheat pasta? – we have the answer and it’s YES!
Garofalo is Italy’s number 1 quality wheat pasta maker. Using its philosophy of ‘il Gusto E’ Un Diritto’ (‘Good Taste Is A Right) it has developed its gluten free pasta range with the objective of creating a product with the knowledge that people will enjoy. The development team knew that the flavour could not be the same due to the different raw materials, but it was of great importance to produce a gluten free pasta that was no better or worse in flavour, just different.
It was not to be just for those on a gluten free diet but a new cooking opportunity for everyone. It was equally important to produce a healthy product.
High In Fibre For A Healthy Diet – The recipe was carefully developed using corn, rice and quinoa to produce a high fibre gluten free pasta, in the knowledge that many on a gluten free diet may struggle to eat enough fibre, in fact there is 7g of fibre per 100g of pasta. The super food quinoa adds even more nutrients to Garofalo’s gluten free pasta; it contains fibre and minerals such as phosphorus, magnesium, iron and zinc. It is also an excellent source of vegetable protein.

Cooking Instructions The cooking technique is slightly different, but everyone will enjoy eating it, saving you the inconvenience of cooking two separate pans of pasta to accommodate the needs of a gluten-intolerant family member or guest.
It’s vital to cook gluten free pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water at a rolling boil. Once you’ve added the pasta, stir it occasionally until the water’s bubbling vigorously and starts to foam. Turn down the heat at this point & stir the pasta more frequently, keeping an eye on its colour so you can see when it’s lightened.
Test a piece to make sure it’s perfectly al dente then quickly remove the pan from the heat and drain off all the water. To complete the magic, rinse the pasta with warm water and toss in a little extra virgin olive oil. Buon appetito!
