Casa Setaro Aryete Caprettone Vesuvio DOC was born in Campania, on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, from an initiative of a family that with great dedication was able to revolutionize the style and perception of Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Doc, thus reversing the declining vinification of Aglianico, Falanghina and Piedirosso, and also reviving native vines at risk of extinction, such as Caprettone.
The Setaro family began to devote themselves to the cultivation of grapes and its transformation, in a sustainable and identifying way, through that wealth of knowledge and ancient knowledge handed down from Vincenzo to his son Massimo Setaro and his wife Maria Rosaria.
Together they safeguard the history of Vesuvian viticulture with loving care.
Production takes place in full respect of the environment, with a range of eclectic wines consistent with the company philosophy. All are representative wines of a Vesuvius steeped in history, but with an eye always on innovation and the future.

Grapes: 100% Caprettone un grafted vines

Fermentation: Manual grape selection and fermentation for about 20 days

Maturation: 6 Months in amphora & tonneaux

Ageing: 2 Months in the bottle.

Tasting Notes: Bright golden yellow appearance, with a complex nose, with notes of Vesuvius broom and cedar, and balsamic aromas. Persuasive and enveloping flavour, with a good sapidity and soft herbal notes, perfectly mixed with a vibrant acid vein and a very long finish.

Serving temperature: 10-12° C

Ideal With: Fritto Misto Di Mare (Mixed Fried Seafood), Sea Bass, Grilled or Fried White Fish,  White Meats & Soft Cheeses
