The San Marzano tomato is very delicate, with a thin skin, which maintains its flavour for a long time, even when stored, but one that must be handled with great care. Cultivated in the fertile zone around Naples, in Agro Nocerino. When hand picked, the tomatoes are seared, then peeled by hand, and immersed in its soft San Marzano juice.
San Marzano DOP tomatoes make the perfect pasta sauce, and it is easy to use on pizza (just add some fresh basil & oregano) but also fish & vegetarian recipes.
Storage: Store in a dry place. After opening, keep refrigerated and consume within 2-3 days.
