Andrea Milano Lacryma Christi Del Vesuvio Red Wine Vinegar 250mL is made from vines grown on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius near Naples. Lacryma Christi wine takes its name from the ancient story told by John Milton in “Paradise Lost” which tells of when Lucifer and some angels were expelled from Heaven. He grabbed a piece of Heaven and, falling, he took it with him; he dropped it on the coast of Italy at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, where he framed the bay of Naples. Seeing this loss, Jesus wept and tears bathed the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. In the place where the tears fell, vines miraculously grew, becoming the vineyards from which Lacryma Christi comes.

Made from a selection of grapes that ripen under the heat of the Neapolitan sun exclusively on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, Andrea Milano vinegar is hand crafted and aged in prestigious wood barrels that provide a unique bouquet and aroma.

Taste: Full-bodied, tannic and lightly fruity

Acidity: 7%

Ideal with: Grilled fish, chicken, salads or poured sparingly over vanilla ice cream.

Store the product away from sunlight and direct light. Once opened, store the vinegar in a cool, dark place.

Contains sulphites. Suitable for Coeliacs, Vegetarians & Vegans. Gluten free, Wheat free.

Some sedimentation is possible, and in no way affects the product.
